Fiesta Jalisco Salsa

  • Tomato juice
  • Whole peeled tomatos
  • White vinegar (a little)
  • Cilantro
  • Onion
  • Chili pepper flakes
  • Garlic salt
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cumin (?)
  • Oregano

So, um, I asked my favorite waiter at my favorite Mexican restaurant how to make their insanely awesome salsa. He replied that it was really easy, and rattled off these ingredients to me (although we're not completely sure on the translation from Spanish if he said "cumin"!). I haven't tried it yet, but wanted to get it typed in so that I don't lose it if I misplace the scrap of paper that I scribbled the list onto! The restaurant has since closed - not for lack of business, just mismanagement apparently. So this list is all I have left...
