And our raft, with Irv and Jeri, has left us. From here, we were transferred to a jet boat to take us across Lake Mead at 40 mph (the raft, going slower, would finally reach the other side that afternoon). On the other side of Lake Mead, we were transferred to a bus to take us back to Las Vegas. GCEX really has this down to both an art and a science - this part of the canyon is hot, and crammed with not-so-scenic touristy stuff (day-trippers and helicopter tours and all kinds of stuff you don't really want to spend hours looking at), so they just sped us through it!
